Gala Macs is applying appropriate and adequate robust protocols for monitoring the Environmental, Health, Safety and Social Management structures and performance of the Company, in accordance with applicable legislation as well as aiming to meet GLOBALG.A.P. standards.

Gala Macs practices environmental responsibility by monitoring its water usage, waste management and soil conservation. Almost all the farms have existing storage dams where rainwater is harvested and stored and the remaining farms have potential sites to construct additional storage dams. Gala Macs strategy to fully irrigate its macadamia plantation will ultimately lead to responsible water management as drip irrigation also leads to saving water usage by delivering only the required amount per tree.
